Coats for Kids Annual Campaign

Posted on November 20, 2017

We are proud to be involved with the Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association (GVHBA) 22nd annual Coats for Kids campaign in support of the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau and Surrey Christmas Bureau, two groups whose many initiatives help to provide a brighter Christmas for families in need.
The Coats for Kids donation campaign will run from Tuesday, November 14 to Friday, December 1, with GVHBA member companies providing drop off locations for new and gently used coats, scarves, gloves, blankets and new unwrapped toys and gifts for children of all ages.

Last year the response to Coats for Kids was heartwarming as Lower Mainland residents donated more than 3,600 items, collected at 95 locations, offered by 54 GVHBA member companies. Please drop off your donations at either of our locations: 1100 Lansdowne Drive, Coquitlam or 1738 West 2nd ave, Vancouver.

Speaking with the Christmas Bureaus, the greatest need is coats and jackets for tweens and teens – ages 12 to 18 years old. Remember, even though some teens fit adult sizing, the coats need to appeal their age group (hoodies are always popular). Buying new items for donations is also an option, along with donating scarves, hats, gloves, and new unwrapped toys (hockey sticks, soccer and basketballs, and art supplies are always a hit).
